Step 1: Decide

Transformation starts the moment you choose yourself.

The journey begins with your choice. Saying “yes” to coaching is powerful. It says,

I am worthy of growth.

My experience matters.

I’m ready to invest in myself and move toward a life that feels more true and more alive.”

This choice is the first big leap, it’s an intentional commitment to your own potential, well-being, and dreams.

Saying YES to coaching means you’re not just standing at the edge of the pool, imagining what the water will feel like or dipping in a toe; you’re choosing to jump in, allowing yourself to be fully immersed in the process of change.

When you “jump in the pool,” you move from thinking about transformation to actually living it.

In Stage 1 you will:

  • Embrace the decision to invest in yourself

  • Acknowledge that meaningful change takes intention and willingness

Step 2: Discover & Define

Clarity begins when you give yourself permission to name what you really want.

Whether you know exactly what you want or are still discovering what matters most, this phase is about bringing clarity and focus to your desires and intentions. Together, we’ll honor where you are, helping you name your dreams, define your vision, and clarify the values that guide you.

If you already know what you’re reaching for, we’ll work to bring your goals into clear focus and begin exploring new possibilities for a path forward.

If you’re still discovering what matters most, we’ll create a safe space for curiosity and possibility. By shining a light on where you are now and where you want to go, we begin to define the vision that will guide your journey forward.

No matter where you’re starting, this is your moment to claim what you want more of in your life.

In stage 2 you will:

  • Give yourself permission to voice what you desire

  • Reflect on what makes you feel alive or where you feel stuck

  • Clarify personal values, priorities, and dreams

  • Define what success and fulfillment look like for you

  • Identify initial intentions or goals for your coaching journey

  • Begin noticing & listening to your body’s messages so you can use emotions as insight, not obstacles

Step 3: Uncover & Shift

In order to change, you must first become aware

Here, we compassionately explore the patterns, beliefs, and habits, both conscious and subconscious, that may be keeping you stuck. Using powerful somatic (body-based) tools, we invite a deeper exploration and understanding of how past experiences and old stories shape your present.

With fresh awareness, you take your power back: deciding which beliefs you’re ready to let go of and what empowering perspectives or habits you want to commit to instead. You will be actively rewriting the narrative, letting go of what no longer serves you, and intentionally creating the changes you want to see in your life.

In stage 3 you will:

  • Identify recurring themes or limiting beliefs

  • Compassionately explore both conscious and subconscious stories or beliefs

  • Listen to the signals your body offers as messages from deeper wisdom

  • Practice responding to yourself with openness & curiosity rather than criticism

  • Experiment with new ways of thinking, feeling, and being, starting in small, manageable steps

Step 4: Integrate & Embody

Real change happens when your breakthroughs become the foundation of who you are and how you live.

This is the phase where transformation settles in, and becomes real and lasting. You’ll start to notice positive changes: your new habits feel less forced and more natural, and making the choices you want become easier each day.

As you practice bringing your insights and commitments into everyday situations, you’ll deepen your ability to recognize your own patterns. When challenges or old limitations arise, you’ll know how to respond and make effective shifts, drawing on the tools and self-awareness you’ve developed.

Integration isn’t about perfection; it’s about building confidence and resilience as you embody your growth. Over time, these new ways of being become a natural part of who you are.

In this stage you will:

  • Anchor new habits and behaviors through daily practice

  • Recognize your patterns more quickly and clearly

  • Bring self-compassion to setbacks or challenges

  • Strengthen your ability to shift your emotional state when you feel stuck

  • Experience deeper insights and learning through somatic practices

  • Find greater alignment between who you want to be and how you actually live

You are allowed to feel good and enjoy yourself.

Step 5: Celebrate & Expand

Self-acknowledgment isn’t always taught or celebrated in our culture, but here it becomes a practice. Celebration anchors your growth and opens the door to new possibilities.

This is the phase where you pause to genuinely honor how far you’ve come. Taking time to recognize yourself and your accomplishments is powerful self-care. It’s how you strengthen self-trust and self-confidence. It’s also an invitation to feel good. When you let yourself say, “I’m proud of myself,” you create the kind of joy and satisfaction that fuels even greater growth.

By claiming your growth, you reinforce your natural ability to choose, create, and respond to whatever life brings. When you truly see the difference you’ve made, you open up to new horizons and greet your next steps with courage, resilience, and a joyful heart.

As you finish this chapter and look back on your progress, my wish is that you echo the words at the heart of this To My Dear Little Self: “I knew you could do it, so keep up the good work.”
